The College of Engineering Guindy, also known as CEG Guindy, was established in 1794. Located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, CEG began as a School of Survey, evolving into a college in 1859 under the Madras University. In 1978, with the establishment of Anna University, CEG became one of its constituent colleges and remains affiliated with it to this day. College of Engineering Guindy is a public institute. It has secured the 13th rank in the NIRF 2023 Rankings under the engineering category.
College of Engineering Guindy offers a variety of UG and PG courses, including 10 UG (regular), 2 UG (Tamil Medium), 4 UG (self-supporting), 3 UG (part-time), 34 PG (regular), 20 PG (self-supporting) and 3 PG (part-time) courses. CEG Guindy comprises more than 15 departments and several research centres through which it offers the PhD programme in various disciplines.
