Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi is one of the eight new IITs established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India in 2009. This Autonomous Institute is located at Kamand, Mandi and is spread over an area of 538 acres. IIT Mandi has nine schools, including the School of Computing and Electrical Engineering, School of Basic Sciences, School of Engineering, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, etc. The institute provides undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and integrated programmes.
