The International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore (also known as IIIT Bangalore or IIIT-B) is a Deemed-to-be University in the de-novo category recognised under Section 3 of the UGC Act. The university was established in 1999 jointly by the Government of Karnataka and the IT Industry. A number of events were organised to mark the occasion, including a gala dinner, a research symposium, and a cultural festival. IIIT Bangalore has been ranked 74 under the ‘Engineering‘ category by the NIRF 2023 Rankings.
