Rajalakshmi Engineering College Highlights 2024

Established in 1997, Rajalakshmi Engineering College (REC) is an autonomous private institution. Rajalakshmi Engineering College was founded by the Rajalakshmi Educational Trust and is affiliated with Anna University, Chennai. It has received 12(b) status from the UGC and has been accredited by the NAAC with Grade ‘A++’. Additionally, Rajalakshmi Engineering College is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Government of India has recognised the institute as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO). REC is also ISO-certified. Rajalakshmi Engineering College has secured the 86th rank in the NIRF 2023 Rankings under the engineering category. Notable companies such as TATA Consultancy Services, WIPRO, and Cognizant Technology Solutions have also accredited the institute.

Rajalakshmi Engineering College has signed several MoUs at the national and international levels with other institutions and organisations. The MoUs are signed with institutions such as Gedik University, Turkey, EDINBORO UNIVERSITY, ALTINBAS UNIVERSITY, Bahir-Dar University, Ethiopia, University of Regina, Canada, and Infosys, among others.

Rajalakshmi Engineering College offers full-time BTech, BE and MTech, MBA, and ME programmes in various specialisations. The institute offers over 18 undergraduate and 9 postgraduate programmes in streams such as Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Biotechnology, among others. The Institute also offers PhD programme in streams including Mathematics, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, and others.
